I’m Thorgeir "Thor" Logason, an Icelandic television director and creative producer based in Brooklyn, New York, with more than nine years of experience across live television, sports broadcasting and podcast production.

My career in sports media began in 2016, when I produced and hosted Sparkvarpið, one of Iceland’s first sports podcasts, before moving into television in 2019 where I  gradually moved through a range of production roles before becoming a director.

In that role, I worked as a Lead Director and Producer for Iceland’s national broadcaster, RÚV, where I directed Stofan, Iceland’s most-watched sports program. The show covers major international events, including the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA European Championship, and other tournaments featuring Iceland’s national teams. My responsibilities included live multi-camera directing, editorial development and production leadership for large national audiences.

In 2023, I helped lead the development and integration of Iceland’s first live virtual sports studio, marking a significant advancement in the country’s broadcast production.

Alongside my work at RÚV, I built a long-running career with Sýn, Iceland’s leading commercial broadcaster. I progressed through graphics, video editing and directing before serving as a showrunner for Seinni bylgjan and later as an editorial director for national coverage of the UEFA Champions League and English Premier League. In these roles, I oversaw studio content, analysis, visual storytelling and data-led graphics.
