Welcome to my page!
My name is Thorgeir Logason, an Icelandic director and creative producer based in Brooklyn, New York. I have six years of experience in live television and have directed some of Iceland’s major sports broadcasts for the national broadcaster, RÚV. One of my major career highlights has been leading Iceland’s television production of the national handball team tournaments for the past three years. I’ve also directed Iceland’s national coverage of major world sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euros. In 2023, I directed and helped RÚV integrate Iceland’s first live virtual sports studio, marking a major step forward in national broadcast production.

Alongside my work at RÚV, I’ve remained involved with Stöð 2 Sport, now known as Sýn, where I worked my way up through different sectors of production, from graphics and video editing to playout operations, directing, and eventually serving as showrunner and lead director for Seinni bylgjan, as well as editorial director for national coverage of the UEFA Champions League and the English Premier League, overseeing studio content, analysis, graphical insights and storytelling.
